About Our Field for Photography…
We currently have approximately 2,000 lavender plants at various stages of maturity.
Typically, there is something blooming late may through early July, depending on the cultivar (type of lavender).
Remember we are a working farm. There are bees and bugs on the farm. Please keep this in mind if it will be a problem for you or the people you are photographing.
We cannot predict weather conditions or seasons and their effects on the lavender, so it is important to check out our fields (lavender) before booking and before your photo shoots to have a better idea what to expect and to make sure that this is the right location for you.
Visitor Photography Policy
Photography (still) is permitted for private, non-commercial use only. We ask that if you get a particularly good shot on the farm, that you share it with us for use on Facebook page, tag us on social media #hillcountrylavender or email it to us info@hillcountrylavender.com
Photographs cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever without written consent by Hill Country Lavender. Hill Country Lavender reserves the right, and its sole discretion, to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph on its premises or to reproduce photographs of objects in its collection.
Now, there is a difference between a camera phone and a professional camera. Our guests are more than welcome to use their professional-style cameras during store hours, however if your innocent photos turn into a photo shoot, we can and will reserve the right to turn you away and/or charge our normal professional photo session fee.
Commercial Photography Policy

We require all reservations to be paid in full when made.
We also require you to contact us via email info@hillcountrylavender.com one week before shooting to confirm your date. Any failure to do so will result in your booking being cancelled and no refund will be made, since another photographer could have had your booking. Many photographers want to book with us to get photos taken at the farm. We want to be respectful to all.
However if it is storming we do try our best to reschedule you, but you must be flexible with the change and please let your clients know they need to be understanding since we cannot control weather.
Hill Country Lavender is just providing the property location. We expect all photographers to be professionals. Any that disrespect our farm, owners and/or employees will be asked to leave our farm without refund and will not be given rights to shoot photographs here again.
Photographers Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the photographer and we recommend you come to the farm to make sure this is where you want to take your photos and have your sessions at. Your expectations may not be what our farm is. *Note: we are not France and do Not have long rows of lavender growing. Due to the humidity here in central Texas, lavender is difficult to grow so we we use shorter rows with more space between each plant for better air circulation.

We love our photographers! And we especially love when you post or share your photos with us! When sharing please make sure to include you studio name on the photo. Photos shared without you studio name may be reused without attribution as we receive many photos of our field every summer, and one picture of a lavender bloom looks awfully similar to another despite your individual photographic skill! If we find a photo we really want to use for promotional purposes, we will contact you directly regarding obtaining an unmarked copy and to discuss attribution.
Impolite, rude or offensive social media posts regarding Hill Country Lavender, its owners or employees may result in cancellation of future reservations or denial of reservation requests.
Cancellation Policy
All reservations are non-refundable. We have done all we can to assure a field of purple. However if, due to causes beyond our control, we feel that the lavender is not blooming, we will contact you and refund your money. Once reserved, photographers are not allowed to make any alterations in the reservation. Should it become necessary to reschedule a photoshoot due to inclement weather at the farm every effort will be made to accommodate. *This may have to be a morning or workday reschedule.
Just remember that rain at your home does not mean it is raining at the farm.
