Cranberry Lavender Smash
Ingredients
Maple Cranberry Simple Syrup:
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup water
1 cup frozen cranberries
1 Tbsp culinary lavender
Cocktail:
1/2 oz maple lavender cranberry syrup (Add 1 oz for a sweeter cocktail)
1 ½ ounces bourbon
1 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
Lime juice (1/8th wedge)
Ice
Instructions
Maple Cranberry Simple Syrup:
In a small saucepan, bring maple syrup and cranberries to a simmer over medium-high heat until berries begin to burst, about 5 minutes. Add in 1 tablespoon culinary lavender. Cover and let steep for 20 minutes. Strain and let cool. (Makes enough simple syrup for 12 cocktails.)
Cocktail:
In a glass add maple-cranberry simple syrup, bourbon and cranberry juice. Add ice to the glass. Garnish with frozen cranberries and Enjoy!
NOTE: This syrup is also amazing in a vodka cocktail!
